Senior Software Engineer

High Sierra Talent is a fast-growing fintech platform that powers investment intelligence for sophisticated private capital firms. The Senior Software Engineer will lead projects from design to production, make architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with product and design teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead full-stack feature development from technical design through deployment
• Architect scalable, high-performance solutions with a focus on data integrity and user experience
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and own database schema decisions
• Partner with product and design to translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions
• Identify new tools, frameworks, and best practices to keep the team ahead of the curve
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js
• Solid command of PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL
• Proficiency with React and React Query (or comparable frontend frameworks)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with JavaScript libraries like AG Grid, SpreadJS, or HyperFormula
• Background building computation-heavy or data-intensive services where accuracy and performance are non-negotiable
• Curiosity about AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies
