Staff / Senior Backend Engineer, AI

T0.ai is an innovative company that automates financial operations for founders through AI technology. As a Staff / Senior Backend Engineer, you will design scalable services and resilient APIs that serve as the backbone of their intelligent finance systems.

Responsibilities:

• Architect distributed systems on GCP for high-volume, high-sensitivity data
• Build well-structured APIs and services in Python to power AI applications and frontends
• Own schema and data modeling for long-term growth and flexibility
• Create infrastructure that enables rapid iteration while ensuring reliability
• Collaborate with AI engineers to build systems where data improves models and models improve products

Requirements:

• 5+ years backend experience with Python at scale
• Deep knowledge of SQL/NoSQL database design
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or microservices
• Familiarity with GCP services (Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, KMS, etc.)
• Strong grasp of security and compliance best practices
• Passion for building the backend that powers intelligent products
