About this roleJob Summary The Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer will be responsible for designing, configuring, developing, and maintaining GOSU application code and configuration components within Guidewire Studio. The role includes providing technical leadership, reviewing development deliverables, supporting production operations, coordinating onsiteoffshore teams, and proposing configuration and integration solutions. The developer will work closely with business analysts, integration teams, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality technical delivery and successful implementation of PolicyCenter enhancements and rollouts. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, develop, configure, and maintain GOSU application code and configuration elements within Guidewire Studio. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior Guidewire developers. Understand business requirements, validate technical feasibility, and communicate solutions to the team to ensure high-quality deliverables. Coordinate onsiteoffshore activities and assist in resolving production incidents. Review offshore development work in areas such as PCF configuration, business rules, and data model creation. Manage and communicate team status updates to onsite leadership. Provide production support for Guidewire PolicyCenter. Collaborate with teams to analyze and resolve defects. Work with integration owners and service providers to maintain application stability. Propose configuration and integration solutions and provide effort estimates for user story requirements. Translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment. Required Qualifications Guidewire PolicyCenter experience, including implementation and state rollouts. Experience designing, developing, and unit testing solutions using the Guidewire Rating Module. Ability to define and develop rating engines and implement related system changes. Experience with state-specific forms configuration, rating, business rules, PCF changes, and integrations. Ability to create solution design recommendations, estimates, and present implementation options. Minimum 3 years of development experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter with strong GOSU programming skills. Experience with Guidewire plugins, GOSU scripts, and suite integrations. Experience with Agile methodology, version control, and release management. 34 years of experience developing multitier web-based applications using Java, J2EE, WSDL, XSD, XML, SOA, Java web services, and JMS or other messaging frameworks. Strong design and development experience integrating systems using web services technologies (JAX-RPC, JAX-WS, JAXB, Apache Axis2). Experience with SQL Server or DB2. Experience with third-party platform integrations. Experience working with application servers such as WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or JBoss. 58 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter modules including configuration and rating. Hands-on experience with Guidewire configuration and/or integration. At least one complete end-to-end PolicyCenter implementation. Experience with Guidewire APIs, methods, rules, and processes. Strong troubleshooting skills across a complex application stack. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience supporting production environments. Experience working in an onsiteoffshore model. Preferred Qualifications Guidewire PolicyCenter certification. 34 years of Java programming experience with strong technical skills. Experience with REST web services. Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN. Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience with web services including WSDL, SOAP, XML, and REST. Education: Bachelors Degree Certification: Guidewire PolicyCenter
