The Pool Bartender, is a seasonal position, and is responsible for providing superb customer service and entertaining our guests who are visiting our pool at Horseshoe Tunica. The pool bartender provides a great experience for every guest, every time, through positive and courteous interactions. Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the pool area.
- Demonstrates superior customer service skills by maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude; presenting positive energy, and being enthusiastic from one interaction to the next.
- Is ready to serve and build a relationship with the guests by greeting them with a warm, friendly verbal greeting, and to provide a warm farewell and thank the guest for visiting our swimming pools.
- Drives revenue for amenities including food, beverage, bungalows, and the spa.
- Anticipates needs and provides fast, flawless service.
- Checks for satisfaction and properly uses the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist.
- Promotes Total Rewards programs and card membership. Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting.
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
- Collects money for drinks served.
- Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies.
- Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
- Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Has the ability to interact with a variety of people and able to acknowledge, greet, and converse in English with our pool guests.
- Operates the computer using LMS to verify customers’ entrance eligibility status.
- Responds to guest’s requests, complaints, or inquiries courteously and promptly.
- Distributes towels to the guest as they enter the pool area and maintains a sufficient amount of clean pool towels for the shift.
- Ensures that all pool towels stay in the pool area and that all used-dirty towels are placed in towel bin.
- Uses chemicals (glass cleaner and/or soap), as necessary, to clean assigned areas to standard. This includes but is not limited to cleaning the tables and chairs, keeping the tables and chairs organized, keeping the trash cans clean and emptied, and keeping the swimming pool storage/towel room clean and organized.
- Delivers articles found in the swimming pool area to the manager.
- Ensures rapid maintenance and repair of pool equipment, by reporting all maintenance requests to the manager in a timely manner.
- Maintains a consistent and regular attendance record; must be flexible with times and be available for high volume periods (weekends, holidays, etc.).
- Must be able work in heat that is in excess of 90 F.
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight (8) hours.
- Must be able define the problem; collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to lift/carry at least 10lbs and push/pull items that weigh at least 25lbs.
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb and/or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must have vision capabilities for close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand Basic English.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 21years old.
