Bitsight is a cyber risk management leader transforming how companies manage exposure, performance, and risk for themselves and their third parties. The company is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead a multicultural engineering team focused on Third Party Risk Management, spending 75% of the time on coding and project leadership, and 25% on people management.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a strong growth mindset through continuous learning and by actively raising the technical bar for yourself and the team
- Experience building and leading development of SaaS systems using CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and containerized environments
- Experience with modern Python frameworks and technologies, such as Django, FastAPI, Flask, SQLAlchemy
- Experience using modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted coding, to improve personal and team productivity
- Acts as a technical owner for the team, driving design decisions, code quality, and long-term maintainability of the systems you build
- Experience leading complex engineering efforts, from scoping and task break-down through delivery, while keeping a healthy and engaged team
- Comfortable making and revisiting trade-offs as priorities shift, while keeping the team focused and productive
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, partnering closely with Product and Design to turn loosely defined problems into clear, executable plans
- Takes clear ownership of the team’s outcomes and the impact of delivered work on the broader organization
- Demonstrates strong team leadership by building trust, encouraging healthy debate, driving clear commitments, holding the team accountable, and focusing on results
- Has strong mentoring and coaching skills, guide professional development of direct reports by using the engineering ladder, sets goals and objectives
