GitHub is the world’s leading platform for agentic software development, and they are seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to join their Global Marketing Operations team. The role focuses on supporting the execution of marketing campaigns by managing requests, building programs in Eloqua and SendGrid, and improving lead flow architecture within the marketing tech stack.
Responsibilities:
- Work across the Marketing Operations team on all aspects of program/campaign operations from audience targeting, list uploads, email creation, program execution, and program measurement
- Serve as a Marketing Operations project lead for cross functional campaign initiatives that ensure the projects are demonstrating best in class Marketing Operations practices
- Identify new Marketing Tech Architecture that unlocks new capabilities for GitHub
- Actively identify and remove obstacles preventing our Marketing teams from realizing their campaign execution
- Architecting and administering Eloqua & SendGrid architecture to sustain our custom lead flow processes
- Product Manage our Lifecycle Marketing campaigns and capabilities across each Lifecycle campaign ask
- Manage and influence stakeholder expectations by providing robust communication plans, driving action, and align deliverables for campaign execution that sits in Marketing and Revenue Pods that pertain to; email orchestration, analytics insights, new nurture and architecture initiatives
- Escalate stakeholder issues to senior colleagues and provide solutions to obstacles that you encounter in the campaign process
- Audit and monitor GitHub’s entire lead flow process to ensure that we remove gaps and find areas of improvement in our lead flow to maximize conversion rates and drive pipeline growth
- Document, maintain, and evangelize Marketing Operation frameworks and processes to drive consistency across multiple partners
- Audit and monitor GitHub’s marketing technologies and database utilization to ensure that we’re maximizing our marketable database and technologies
- Monitor and debug our marketing data logs, flows, and pipelines to understand where data and process can be improved
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in sales operations, marketing operations, or a related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in sales operations, marketing operations, or a related field
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in sales operations, marketing operations, or a related field
- OR equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience with technology process improvement
- 3+ years experience in marketing operations at a Global B2B software company
- 3+ years experience with marketing B2B reporting (e.g., Salesforce, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- 3+ years experience with CRM technologies (e.g., Salesforce)
- 3+ years of experience with Eloqua or Marketo
- 7+ Years of Marketing Technology integration experience via APIs, Native Integration, Webhooks
- 4+ Years of Content Management System (CMS) experience with platforms such as WordPress, Contentful, Squarespace etc
- 4+ Years of HTML/CSS/JS Experience
- 4+ Years of experience with SQL or Python
- Good understanding of B2B email/nurture marketing best practices, deliverability/governance, data quality management, and marketing attribution models
- Demonstrated experience in converting business requirements into technical specifications for execution
