Senior / Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack / Backend – TypeScript, Node.js, React)

Hatch Talent is a VC-backed AI FinTech startup that is building AI-native systems to automate mortgage workflows. They are seeking Senior and Staff Software Engineers to join their high-caliber engineering team and help build the next generation of their platform, focusing on automating complex financial workflows and processing large volumes of data.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll work in a small, high-calibre engineering team building systems that automate complex financial workflows and process large volumes of data
• This is a high ownership role where engineers design, build, and ship production systems end-to-end
• Engineers here ship quickly, own systems in production, and work closely with product and customers

Requirements:

• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with Node.js / Express
• Experience with React
• Experience with GraphQL / Apollo
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with AWS (ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, Kafka, Elasticsearch)
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Terraform
• Ability to work in a remote-first engineering team
• Experience in building systems that automate complex financial workflows
• Experience in processing large volumes of data
• Ability to design, build, and ship production systems end-to-end
• Ability to own systems in production
• Ability to work closely with product and customers
• Experience in AI-native product systems
