Position: Apigee Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months contract position
We are seeking a motivated Apigee Developer to help build and maintain our API gateway infrastructure. In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior architects to develop API proxies, implement security policies, and ensure seamless connectivity between our frontend applications and backend services.
Responsibilities:
- Proxy Development: Assist in building and configuring API proxies using the Apigee UI and management APIs.
- Policy Configuration: Implement standard Apigee policies for XML/JSON transformations, header validation, and basic security (API Keys, Basic Auth).
- Testing & Debugging: Use the Apigee Trace tool to troubleshoot errors, latency issues, and policy failures during the development phase.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI specs to assist frontend teams.
- Deployment Support: Help manage API deployments across different environments (Dev, Test, Prod) using version control systems like Git.
Maintenance: Monitor API traffic dashboards and alert the senior team to any unusual spikes or error rates.
