ABOUT THE ROLEOur client, a Fortune 500 Utilities company, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Scheduler to support project planning and execution through the development and management of resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities. The Project Scheduler will work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while applying project scheduling techniques and controls to monitor progress and identify risks. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting large-scale or complex projects, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to provide leadership in scheduling efforts as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Develop, maintain, and manage resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6 (required).
- Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Apply project scheduling techniques and project controls methodologies to monitor progress and identify risks.
- Track project performance and provide regular updates, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Analyze schedule data to support decision-making and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Effectively communicate project timelines, milestones, and risks to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Provide scheduling leadership and support to Project Managers, stepping in to lead scheduling efforts when required.
WHAT YOU BRING- 3+ years of progressive experience in project scheduling.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Primavera P6 (resource-loaded scheduling required).
- Strong understanding of project management principles, lifecycle phases, and project controls processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and perform under pressure.
- Experience supporting large-scale or complex projects (preferred).
- Ability to take initiative and provide leadership support in the absence of a Project Manager (preferred).
