Summary:
Provides patient care duties for patients of all ages, infants through adults under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Serves as a scrub technologist, Birthing Center tech, as well as a Unit Secretary. Provides care preoperatively, perioperatively, and postoperatively within scope of practice and hospital policy and procedures. Also functions as a surgical assistant and/or assistant to the circulating nurse. Performs a variety of organizational, administrative, and communication functions.
Required Education: Graduate of accredited program of Surgical Technology. military experience, or at least 10 years of experience in Surgical Technologist role with no degree.
Required Work Experience: At least 10 years of surgical tech experience. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date. About Catawba Valley Medical Center
