The Plumbing and Wastewater Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and wastewater treatment facilities. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing codes and wastewater management practices, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and water and drainage systems.
Conduct routine inspections of plumbing and wastewater systems to identify and address issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and wastewater problems, implementing effective solutions.
Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing and wastewater systems to ensure optimal operation.
Respond to emergency plumbing and wastewater issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and answering questions about plumbing and wastewater systems.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and wastewater treatment processes.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle physical labor and work in various environments, including confined spaces and outdoor settings.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
State-issued plumbing license or certification, as required by law.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing and wastewater systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures and hazardous materials.
