ENGINEER

The Critical Facility Technician ensures the smooth, efficient, profitable operation of the assigned 
building project by ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all required work and by attaining the 
utmost in customer satisfaction.

Responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. The technician serves as an expert technical resource, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and any third-party vendors. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center and to support operated data centers. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime

10+ years of experience supporting mission critical environments with a high school diploma or GED • Current electrical/mechanical Journeyman’s license preferred. • Hands on electrical or mechanical skill, and competence in the area of non-expertise (for example, electrical expertise with a mechanical competence, or vice-versa) • Operate and perform both routine and emergency service on a variety of state-of-the-art critical systems. • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. • Mechanical and/or electrical OEM factory specific training or experience preferred. • Knowledge and experience using basic computer applications
