Network Engineer (Remote opportunity)

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic Network Engineer to join their Network Engineering and Operations team. The role involves designing, operating, and continuously improving back-of-house networks, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across data center environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and support new and existing services for customers and business partners
• Improve performance and availability of existing networks and services
• Research, track, document, publish, maintain and deliver on network policies and procedures
• Work with management to improve process, procedures and reduce inefficiencies
• Out of the box thinking – text book solutions are not always the best answer
• Mentor, train and assist team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field
• 7+ switches, firewalls (Cisco ASA/FTD/Fortinet) and security concepts
• Experience with Cisco Meraki or similar cloud-managed networking platforms
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
• Experience in hybrid cloud networking environments
