Gong is a company that harnesses the power of AI to transform how revenue teams win. As the Head of Solutions Engineering, you will manage all facets of the assigned Solutions Engineering teams, overseeing strategic pre-sales activities and outcomes that align with Gong’s vision and mission.
Responsibilities:
- Scale and run a Solutions Engineering organization leveraging your past experiences
- Global Resource Allocation and Standardize global playbooks while allowing for regional nuance
- Create processes, reports, and operating rhythm to help your team and stakeholders
- Build the appropriate organizational structures to balance the need for specialization with revenue coverage
- Invest in deep, peer-level relationships with Product and Engineering VPs, fostering a culture of mutual respect where SE technical expertise is viewed as a force-multiplier for product success
- Improve processes and eliminate bottlenecks by working cross-functionally in order to get deals across the line
- Build appropriate processes, measurement and infrastructure needed to maximize SE productivity and impact
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Product Marketing, Product Management and Engineering and exercise sound judgement to achieve business objectives
- Build technical thought leadership on architecture, processes and operationalization
Requirements:
- 10+ years of relevant solutions engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience building and managing high performing solutions engineering teams
- 4+ years of experience leading Solutions Engineering Senior Directors/Directors/Managers
- Experience leading organizations of at least 50–100+ headcount through IPO or significant hyper-growth phases
- Know how to build trust amongst your team members and cross-functional stakeholders
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional peers (Product/Eng) without formal authority, specifically in a high-growth SaaS environment
- High level of business acumen and understanding of how revenue leaders think
