Prosperity Life is seeking a Senior Business Analyst who will lead multiple technology and operational initiatives for the company. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop business processes, implementing best practices, and ensuring effective communication between departments to deliver quality business solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate collaboration sessions with various project teams to identify and document business requirements
- Working experience in delivering transformative initiatives leveraging agile digital delivery
- Facilitate daily QA defect analysis meetings and produce daily documentation including meeting minutes, defect logs and status reports
- Working experience in collaboration tools for creating flowcharts/process maps using tools like MIRO, Figma, Visio, PowerPoint, or similar
- Work directly with the system end-users, SME's and technical staff to translate complex processing information into effective requirements
- Interview business users, generate requirement artifacts, test plans review and coordinate/conduct UAT
- Facilitate daily scrum calls to identify and remove any impediments, working closely with Scrum master
- Create Sprint backlog working closely with Product owner(s) and scrum master and drive sprint grooming and planning to track to key milestone dates
- Help with effective Change Management and governance to ensure project goals are achieved
- Experience in project management and/or client/block conversions is a plus
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in business analysis and application development
- 5 to 7+ years' experience in Life insurance, Annuity, or financial services work experience
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry in areas for New Business, Agency / Agent management and hierarchy / commissions processing and disbursements
- FLMI, ChFC, CLU or other industry- or field-related designations
- Demonstrated ability to manage a project using a variety of methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, etc)
- Knowledge of project management tools and software such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Rally, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, others
- Working experience in collaborative tools like MIRO, Figma, iRise or similar, with knowledge of UML
- Experience in Agile Methodology, facilitating scrum meetings and helping team build the prioritized product backlog is a must
- Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate results to project teams and management
- Very good communication skill who can coordinate with different platform streams, very proactive and collaborative
- Ability to influence others without authority
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Experience in project management and/or client/block conversions is a plus
- Experience is AI / ML and Agentic AI tools is a plus
- Experience with third-party platforms and services, preferably on insurance / financial services
- Experience in handling large scale insurance policy conversions is a plus
