About this role
Brooksource is partnering with a Fortune 50 Health Insurance Client to find a Senior Full Stack Engineer. This role involves building modern, customer-facing experiences within the client's Member Portal and requires strong individual contribution across the full stack.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain full stack applications across backend and frontend
- Develop scalable backend services using Java (preferred) or Node.js
- Build modern front-end applications using Vue.js (preferred) or similar frameworks
- Contribute to mobile development using React Native (as applicable)
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions
- Solve complex technical problems using sound engineering principles
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Review pull requests and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback
- Help drive best practices in performance, scalability, and reliability
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Translate evolving business requirements into technical solutions
- Deliver high-quality features and systems on time
- Contribute to a collaborative and continuously improving team environment
Requirements:
- 7–8+ years of full stack development experience
- Strong experience building cloud-based applications
- Ability to own features end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Backend development with Java (8+) (preferred) or Node.js
- Frontend development with Vue.js (preferred) or modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals
- Experience with Azure Cloud Services (or equivalent cloud platforms)
- Familiarity with Spring / Spring Boot
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS
- Experience building scalable, high-performance applications
- Experience with React Native (mobile applications)
- Exposure to AI/ML features or integrations
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud / Adobe stack
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and security best practices
