DevOps Engineer

Amtex Systems Inc is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support Cloud COE initiatives, focusing on cloud governance, platform engineering, SRE practices, ServiceNow integration, and cost optimization. The role involves building secure, scalable, and automated AWS environments aligned with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AWS landing zones and multi-account environments (Control Tower)
• Define and enforce cloud governance guardrails (IAM, networking, tagging, security)
• Build reusable Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) modules
• Contribute to CI/CD standards and self-service provisioning (Service Catalog)
• Develop standardized cloud patterns (Golden Paths)
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging
• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• Develop runbooks and incident management workflows
• Support high availability, backup, and disaster recovery (DR)
• Enable observability (metrics, logs, tracing)
• Integrate ServiceNow with AWS for:
• Access management (AWS Identity Center)
• Account provisioning (Control Tower / AFT)
• Build intake workflows, approvals, and service catalog integration
• Enable self-service provisioning through automation
• Implement policy-as-code and automated compliance checks
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and incident response
• Support DevSecOps practices in CI/CD pipelines
• Implement cost tagging, budgets, and optimization strategies

Requirements:

• Strong AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
• Experience with AWS Control Tower / multi-account environments
• Hands-on Terraform (preferred)
• Understanding of SRE concepts (SLOs, SLIs, HA, DR)
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools
• CI/CD and automation experience
• Scripting (Python/Bash)
• ServiceNow integration (ITSM, workflows, service catalog)
• FinOps / cost optimization experience
• Kubernetes (EKS) exposure
• Ansible or similar tools
