We are seeking an experienced Design Professional to support our Higher Education, K-12, and Civic studios from concept through completion while contributing strong technical expertise. This role is ideal for a mid-level professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility, serve as a technical resource, and collaborate closely with project leadership to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in conceptual design efforts and provide full project support from inception through construction.
- Develop and communicate technical design solutions that align with project goals, client expectations, and firm standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on specialized systems, offering guidance on technical challenges and design strategies.
- Maintain design intent throughout all project phases, from schematic design through construction documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Coordinate with directors and department leadership to develop and implement appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
- Support integration of engineering systems, materials, and construction methods into project designs.
- Contribute to team discussions and help drive decision-making on technical and design-related issues.
- Prepare and support the development of detailed architectural drawings, models, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Perform quality control reviews to maintain technical accuracy and consistency across deliverables.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture required; licensure track preferred.
- 8+ years of professional experience in an architectural or design setting.
- Proficiency in firm-standard design and documentation software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
