Sr. Environmental Engineer - W/WW

Apex Companies is a rapidly growing engineering and environmental consulting firm in the US, recognized for its exceptional service and project excellence. They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to lead civil engineering design projects, establish client relationships, and mentor junior professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and administer small decentralized public water systems and waste water systems
• Provide leadership in the design of efficient and constructable civil projects
• Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects; review job costing reports and take corrective action, as necessary
• Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and ensure that client objectives are met
• Mentor young design professionals
• Participate in business development opportunities
• Participate in professional organizations and functions

Requirements:

• 10+ years' experience as a consulting engineer providing permitting, design and construction of water and wastewater system projects
• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering and professional registration (P.E)
• A solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints
• A proven history of meeting project timelines and budgets
• Ability to develop creative engineering solutions to address project constraints
• Developing relationships with clients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD
