Parsons is a company that values people and fosters growth, and they are seeking a Senior Manager, DEVOPS Engineer to join their team. The role involves leading operational deployment and maintenance of mobile satellite ground systems, monitoring satellite downlinks, and developing automation tools for processing and tracking. Additionally, the engineer will manage teams involved in space ISR operations and design workflows that integrate AI/ML tools into analyst processes.
Responsibilities:
- Leading operational deployment and O&M of mobile satellite ground systems and direct satellite downlink capabilities
- Monitoring live satellite downlinks and end-to-end image processing pipelines to enable rapid, AI-driven detection and product delivery
- Developing scripts and tools to automate processing, reduce latency, and optimize satellite tracking and collection timelines
- Serving as a deployable GEOINT and space ISR operator for U.S. and coalition customers in lab, operational, and forward environments
- Managing or supporting teams performing passive RF and space domain awareness missions for GEO satellite detection, characterization, and tracking
- Designing and refining GEOINT, remote sensing, and AI/ML-enabled exploitation workflows that integrate semi-automated tools into analyst-driven processes
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in GEOINT, remote sensing, imagery analysis, or related geospatial disciplines, including operational support to U.S. Government missions
- Hands-on experience with direct satellite downlink, ground station operations, and space domain awareness or passive RF capabilities
- Demonstrated SAR and EO imagery exploitation expertise in support of ISR missions
- Proficiency with GIS and remote sensing tools such as ArcGIS Pro/Desktop, ERDAS IMAGINE, ENVI, and QGIS
- Practical experience with AI/ML-enabled imagery workflows, including CNN model testing, validation, and integration into production
- An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position
- Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing, or a related technical field (GIS-focused coursework strongly preferred)
- Experience serving as a Program Manager, Technical Lead, or Architect for GEOINT or space ISR systems
- Background supporting space surveillance, reconnaissance, and tracking initiatives (e.g., U.S. Space Force SRT or similar)
- Experience with maritime surveillance and object detection, including near-real-time ship detection workflows
- Familiarity with AGI STK for orbit simulation and imaging/downlink feasibility analysis
- Experience with Python scripting and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure-as-code) in operational ISR environments
- Exposure to photogrammetry and terrain tools such as SOCET SET or similar systems
