
Essential Job Functions
Direct the HIM operations functions to ensure consistent operating in accordance to the Firm’s policies and procedures.
Develop the infrastructure support framework to enable revenue growth, enhanced profitability and/or productivity.
Identify, develop, and implement best practices and procedures for internal and external operational improvements.
Direct the overall audit and compliance requirements needed to comply with Federal, State and Local laws as well as client contract requirements
Oversee the Accounts Receivable process to ensure collection and low AR percentage is maintained.
Analyze and ensure compliance with operational KPI metrics.
Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate and adjust processes to improve operational efficiency and provide operational excellence.
Participate in formulating HIM market strategy and make recommendations on major business decisions.
Coordinate and ensure escalated issues are resolved.
Ensure employees are trained in new and existing systems and processes.
Develop annual budget requirements for operations teams.
Perform duties in compliance with Company’s policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to HIPAA and compliance.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of advanced formal training within the discipline and Dual Credential with Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
A minimum of 8 years’ management experience including oversite of inpatient, outpatient and professional resources.
AHIMA Certification as a RHIA or RHIT
A minimum of 1 years’ management experience of global resources.
Preferred Education and Experience
MBA preferred
Experience in staffing preferred
Experience with Project Management a plus
