Damoov is a global API-first telematics and mobility platform, and they are seeking a Sales Engineer, Telematics Platform to support their commercial growth. This role involves bridging customer needs with technical solution design, engaging in pre-sales activities, conducting technical discovery calls, and collaborating with various teams to enhance customer experience and solution delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Join sales conversations to understand customer goals, technical requirements, and implementation constraints
- Lead technical discovery calls with prospects, partners, and enterprise stakeholders
- Assess solution fit, integration complexity, and feasibility for different use cases
- Translate customer requirements into clear technical recommendations and proposed solution approaches
- Deliver tailored product demos that connect Damoov’s capabilities to real customer needs
- Support solution design across insurance, fleet, logistics, mobility, and telematics use cases
- Help prospects understand how Damoov’s APIs, SDKs, and platform components fit into their product or operational environment
- Contribute to proof-of-concept planning and technical validation
- Work closely with sales teams to strengthen deal progression through clear technical positioning
- Help prepare and refine technical materials, solution decks, demo environments, and customer-facing documentation
- Support RFPs, technical questionnaires, and solution-related follow-up during the sales cycle
- Help create repeatable technical playbooks for common customer scenarios
- Partner with product and engineering teams on high-value commercial opportunities
- Surface recurring integration questions, technical blockers, and product feedback from the market
- Support smoother handoff from pre-sales into onboarding and implementation
- Contribute to improving how Damoov presents and delivers technical value to customers and partners
Requirements:
- Experience in sales engineering, pre-sales, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role
- Strong understanding of APIs, SDKs, integrations, and platform-based products
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting demos, technical evaluations, or proof-of-concept processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to customer requirements
- Ability to work across commercial and technical teams in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence in external-facing conversations
- Interest in telematics, mobility, logistics, insurance, fleet technology, or API-first SaaS
- Experience with telematics, geolocation, mobile apps, connected products, or IoT
- Familiarity with enterprise software sales cycles and solution-based selling
- Experience working with insurers, fleets, logistics companies, mobility platforms, or B2B technology providers
- Understanding of trip data, driver behavior analytics, route visibility, or incident-related workflows
