The Business Analyst - BI role involves supporting organizational decision-making by transforming health care operations data into concise and actionable system solutions supporting Business Intelligence activities.
Responsibilities:
- Should be technically oriented to pick up application, be analytical in thought process, be able to drive the entire BA role from writing requirements documents, mapping tech specs, documenting data flows, hands-on ability to write SQL queries, use XRM tool for looking meta data, data discoveries, etc
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems, processes, and user needs; documents findings to support BI-driven solutions aligned to business strategy
- Defines requirements, scope, and objectives; translates business needs into detailed functional and technical documentation that solution architects and development teams can effectively leverage
- Demonstrates strong expertise in relational databases, reporting, and data-driven decision-making; applies advanced SQL skills for data analysis and insight generation
- Leads and mentors Business Analysts while guiding cross-functional teams of developers and QA analysts to successfully deliver project implementations
- Collaborates closely with architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders to propose solution options, design process flows, and implement effective controls
- Maintains a deep understanding of client organizational structures and business processes; builds and manages strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for BI and process enhancements
- Develops high-quality deliverables including BI application documentation, report mock-ups, system specifications, and test plans in line with established standards and methodologies
- Plans and executes initiatives with minimal supervision; proactively tracks, documents, and communicates project status, risks, and issues while continuously enhancing professional and technical knowledge
Requirements:
- 8+ years' related, professional experience, 5+ years' health care industry experience, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business needs and work with technical staff to formulate EDW-centric solutions consistent with organizational objectives
- Demonstrated developing requirements and functional specifications, testing, and user satisfaction testing
- Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting/visualization platforms
- Ability to communicate well with business owners and technical staff for effective scope control and timely project completion
- Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; Ability to multitask
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, required
- Experience in the health care industry
- Advanced knowledge of BI tools and technologies
