Tumble is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand reinventing the home furnishings industry with stylish, washable, and spillproof rugs. They are seeking an Email & SMS Retention Marketing Manager to drive customer engagement and retention through effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization of all email and SMS marketing initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams (growth, paid/organic social, influencer, brand, analytics) to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on schedule
- Develop detailed campaign briefs outlining messaging, creative direction, and content requirements aligned with channel goals
- Continuously improve email and SMS performance through testing, segmentation, and personalization to drive engagement and conversions
- Enhance subscriber acquisition by optimizing email/SMS capture through testing and segmentation of onsite popups
- Design and manage email flows (e.g., welcome, abandonment, post-purchase) to increase retention and customer lifetime value
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, delivering actionable insights and recommendations
- Use data-driven insights to refine email marketing strategies and align them with broader business objectives
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve email marketing performance
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience directly managing email/SMS marketing at a DTC (direct to consumer) brand or marketing agency (bonus for both brand and agency experience)
- Proven track record of successfully managing email and SMS marketing campaigns, including strategy development, execution, and optimization
- Power user of Klaviyo, Shopify, Figma, and other retention marketing tools
- Deep experience with segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing in email marketing campaigns
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
- Fluent in using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code / Cowork, Midjourney, Gemini, etc.) as part of the creative workflow, with a willingness to continuously adopt new tools
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders
- Creative thinker with a passion for customer experience and a deep understanding of consumer behavior
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, lean environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting quickly as needs evolve
