Program Manager with Insurance Domain - NY, Onsite

Role Summary:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to lead and coordinate complex, large-scale cloud migration and adoption programs for multiple government and enterprise clients, particularly within the Insurance domain. This role manages the client s end-to-end cloud journey, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable migration and post-migration optimization.Key Responsibilities:Program Management & Governance: Lead cloud adoption programs, developing detailed plans, budgets, and timelines, and establishing governance frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance.Cloud Migration: Oversee assessment, planning, and execution for cloud readiness, including managing application rehosting, refactoring, or re-platforming.Complex Program Handling: Specialized experience managing COLO projects, which involves handling programs where mainframe and cloud environments are designed to co-exist.Candidates should have experience with mainframe languages like COBOL, JCL, and DB2, as well as familiarity with cloud integration tools and middleware. The ability to design, develop, test, and implement solutions that integrate mainframe and cloud services is crucial.Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for client leadership (CIOs, Department Heads) and conduct regular program status reviews and risk assessments.Post-Migration Support: Provide ongoing optimization, establish monitoring/alerting, and conduct training for customer IT staff.Required Qualifications: Experience: 15+ years of IT program/project management experience, with at least 4 years in cloud adoption in large enterprises or the public sector. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS Cloud knowledge, Public Cloud, OpenStack, Azure Stack HCI, Red Hat OpenShift, and Kubernetes. Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is preferred.Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments, legacy application migration.
