Impelsys is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the vLEI implementation for health plan engagement. The role involves managing project timelines, coordinating integration workstreams, and serving as the primary contact for stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project timeline, milestones, and deliverables for the 12-week health plan vLEI implementation engagement
- Coordinate across integration workstreams: front-end external party onboarding, validation/confidence factor review, and back-end DCRP integration
- Serve as primary outward-facing contact for health plan project stakeholders and internal business partner team members
- Track environment deployment progress across Development, UAT, and Production stages
- Facilitate weekly payer meetings and coordinate with broader CMS-aligned network participants (e.g., Optum)
- Manage risk, dependencies, and escalations; provide status reporting to business partner Program Director
- Drive SOW deliverable tracking and support future SOW iterations for additional payer engagements
- Coordinate security review processes and ensure compliance checkpoints are met
Requirements:
- 5+ years of technical project management experience in healthcare IT or health information exchange environments
- Demonstrated experience managing integration projects involving APIs, identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect), and multi-environment deployments
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards: HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and payer-to-payer data exchange workflows
- Experience managing engagements with large health plans, PBMs, or payer organizations
- Understanding of SOW-driven consulting delivery models, including resource planning and blended-rate staffing
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with experience bridging technical and business audiences
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management credential
- Exposure to decentralized identity frameworks, verifiable credentials, or self-sovereign identity concepts
- Familiarity with vLEI (Verifiable Legal Entity Identifier), KERI (Key Event Receipt Infrastructure), or similar identity ecosystems
- Experience with TEFCA, CARIN Alliance, Da Vinci Implementation Guides, or CMS interoperability rules
- Knowledge of Dynamic Client Registration Protocol (DCRP) or FAST Security frameworks
- Experience with Kubernetes/Docker containerized deployments in regulated environments
