Non-IT Project Manager

Russell Tobin is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within the payments domain, focusing on Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and transaction workflows. The role involves managing payment-related projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of payment-related projects involving external service providers (PSPs)
• Manage initiatives supporting payment transaction processing and vendor integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Payments Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Procurement
• Drive enhancements in governance frameworks, including oversight, controls, and accountability models
• Oversee service provider onboarding, change management, and ongoing engagement
• Track project milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery
• Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and internal control standards
• Support vendor performance management, including SLA tracking and remediation planning
• Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and governance updates

Requirements:

• Proven project management experience within the payments or financial services domain
• Hands-on experience working with Payment Service Providers (PSPs)
• Strong understanding of payment operations and transaction lifecycles
• Experience managing third-party vendors and governance frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills
• Experience working in regulated or risk-sensitive environments
• Background in financial services, fintech, or payments transformation initiatives
• Experience in vendor governance, third-party risk management, or operational controls
