IS3 Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Engineer with a strong foundation in traditional networking and hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud networking solutions while collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate networking into automated environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud networking solutions within Azure
- Apply core networking principles (routing, switching, firewalls) in cloud environments
- Configure and manage DNS (both internal enterprise and public/external DNS)
- Implement and maintain cloud-based load balancing solutions (e.g., Azure Front Door)
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to integrate networking into automated environments
- Develop and utilize automation scripts (e.g., Python, APIs) to manage infrastructure
- Support and optimize secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures
Requirements:
- Strong background as a Network Engineer (not cloud-only)
- Deep understanding of: Routing & switching
- Deep understanding of: Firewalls and network security
- Deep understanding of: DNS (internal and public)
- Deep understanding of: Load balancing concepts
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking
- Ability to work with APIs and automation rather than manual ('click ops') configuration
- Scripting experience (e.g., Python)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Bicep (preferred, not required)
- Experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), particularly via automation (not manual configuration)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud integration workflows
- Multi-cloud exposure (e.g., AWS), though Azure experience is strongly preferred
