Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Oral Health Educator to promote oral health awareness across skilled nursing facilities, schools, early learning centers, and community environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in educating healthcare staff, educators, families, and community partners on best practices in oral hygiene, preventive care, and improving overall oral health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training & Education:
Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions for CNAs, school nurses, educators, and community partners. - Resource Development:
Create and distribute educational materials such as guides, pamphlets, posters, videos, and digital content. - Collaboration:
Partner with Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), school administrators, healthcare professionals, and community organizations. - Oral Health Advocacy:
Promote oral health awareness, especially among elderly, children, and vulnerable populations. - Support & Guidance:
Provide ongoing support and consultation to CNAs, nurses, educators, and community stakeholders. - Outreach & Events:
Participate in health fairs, school programs, and public health campaigns. - Program Support:
Assist with program planning, grant proposals, budgeting, data collection, and reporting. - Evaluation:
Assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, Education, or related field
- Experience in health education, training, or community outreach
- Strong knowledge of oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to create engaging and culturally appropriate educational materials
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in schools, healthcare, or long-term care settings
- Familiarity with public health programs and outreach initiatives
- Experience with data analysis, program evaluation, or grant writing
