Job Summary:
The Taxpayer Support & Compliance Analyst provides high-quality customer service while supporting tax compliance and account resolution processes. This role involves handling taxpayer inquiries, conducting detailed research on tax accounts, and ensuring accurate application of tax laws and procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver best-in-class customer service via phone and written correspondence in a high-volume call center environment.
- Respond to a wide range of taxpayer inquiries related to filing requirements, payments, and account status.
- Apply knowledge gained through training to analyze issues and provide accurate resolutions.
- Research and resolve complex taxpayer account issues, including unpaid or unfiled tax liabilities.
- Review taxpayer accounts and accurately apply payments in accordance with established procedures.
- Create and update tax liabilities and billing records based on court orders and regulatory requirements.
- Review and close cases that are paid in full, dismissed, or otherwise resolved.
Assist in investigations by gathering and preparing documentation, ensuring proper handling and continuity of evidence. - Process disclosure requests for confidential taxpayer information in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Utilize internal systems and databases to access, update, and manage taxpayer records.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate professionally with correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in both verbal and written formats.
