Business System Analyst - Payments (ACH / NACHA / EDI)

SRM Digital LLC is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in the payments domain to join their team. The role involves bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver impactful payment solutions and enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for payment-related initiatives
• Act as the liaison between business users, operations teams, and technology teams
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflows, and process flow diagrams
• Support implementation and enhancement of payment systems, with focus on RTP and digital payment platforms
• Ensure smooth processing for ACH, wire transfers, checks, Zelle, and other payment methods
• Analyze settlement processes, payment exceptions, and operational workflows
• Work closely with compliance teams on fraud prevention, AML, and risk controls
• Participate in testing, UAT, and production support activities

Requirements:

• Strong Business Analyst experience in banking or financial services
• Deep understanding of payments including ACH, Wire, Checks, RTP, and Zelle
• Knowledge of NACHA standards, ACH lifecycle, and settlement processes
• Hands-on experience with EDI transactions, especially EDI 822
• Familiarity with ISO 20022 messaging formats
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities
• Strong banking and financial services experience is highly preferred
