Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a global edge-to-cloud company that helps organizations connect and protect their data and applications. They are seeking a Security Engineer Support Specialist to support security governance and Software Development Lifecycle initiatives within the Networking Business Unit, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with security regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Support security engineers and SDLC governance teams in driving SSDF, EU CRA, and related cyber compliance initiatives
- Coordinate across engineering, product management, security, and governance stakeholders to track activities, deliverables, and dependencies
- Assist with application security asset tracking and posture management efforts
- Collect, organize, and maintain documentation required for product classification, compliance, and governance audits
- Track action items, milestones, risks, and dependencies using tools such as Excel, JIRA, and Confluence
- Support planning, reporting, and status updates for ongoing security governance initiatives
- Proactively communicate progress, issues, and next steps to stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience supporting or coordinating efforts across IT, development, or technical teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities
- Effective prioritization skills in a cross‑functional environment
- Proficiency with Excel for data tracking and reporting
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
- Interest in building or expanding security and technical skills (training provided)
- Experience working with security, compliance, governance, or SDLC-related initiatives is strongly preferred
- Exposure to security frameworks such as SSDF, NIST, or EU CRA
- Experience supporting governance, compliance, or application security programs
- Project management or security-related certifications
- Security certifications are preferred but not required. Relevant certifications may include: ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM, ISC2 CCSP
