The Site Reliability Engineer will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring effective collaboration for faster feature delivery and elevated service quality. Responsibilities include improving reliability, automating processes, participating in incidents, and maintaining internal tools.
Responsibilities:
- Learn about Dayforce’s cloud infrastructure and the applications that run on them to build a full mental model of how the Dayforce ecosystem works
- Onboard new features ensuring all new applications pass their Production Readiness Review
- Work on projects to improve Dayforce’s reliability, SRE processes and automate away day-to-day toil
- Participate in incidents, investigate root cause, and remediate Dayforce issues
- Create runbooks and reusable runbook components
- Contribute to the inner source SRE repository
- Develop trusted relationships with all parts of Dayforce’s business
- PagerDuty On-Call rotations as required
Requirements:
- Passing a Dayforce background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards)
- US citizenship, US naturalized citizenship, or US Permanent Residency (holding a green card)
- 2-4 years' experience as an SRE, System Administrator, Network Engineer, Database Administrator or Software Engineer
- Experience with Cloud Platforms
- Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language
- Experience with at least one scripting language
- Experience with at least one database engine and querying language
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Azure
- Experience with C#
- Experience with Python and PowerShell
- Experience with MSSQL / TSQL and Postgres / PLSQL
- Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Terraform
