The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for supervising and providing strong leadership to the staff. This position will lead a robust and high-volume Accounts Payable department that supports all of our franchise brands and retail locations. The Accounts Payable Manager will ensure that the department operates smoothly, maintains accurate and complete records regarding payments to suppliers, lenders, and employees, processes payments from clients, and hire, train, and support Accounts Payable staff members. This position also serves as a liaison between the Accounts Payable department and internal and external parties.
Responsibilities:
• Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating Accounts Payable staff members.
• Responsible for Vendor Management.
• Overseeing all Accounts Payable department activities, including multi-channel payable processing (checks, ACH, e-payables, batch payment) as well as processing expense reports, to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintaining accurate and complete financial, employee and client records.
• Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management and government agencies.
• Setting and facilitating the achievement of department objectives.
• Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing budgets, policies and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable management experience required
• Prior retail or franchise experience a plus but not required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Extensive knowledge about Accounts Payable procedures
• Must be a proactive & highly organized self-starter with excellent communication/ collaboration skills
• Must be flexible, able to handle multiple priorities and work independently
