Cisco is a global leader in delivering advanced security solutions, and they are seeking a dynamic Director of Data Analytics to drive AI-driven growth and operational excellence. This role involves leading data analytics initiatives, developing data infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance business performance and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction and execution of data analytics initiatives, serving as the primary revenue strategy lead for senior leadership
- Drive global business planning across headcount, OpEx, mission, vision, and OKRs to support the global sell side organization
- Establish foundational infrastructure to deliver AI-driven insights and centralized pipeline reporting for executive leadership
- Collaborate with executive leadership, business units, and technical teams to align analytics initiatives with overall business strategy and revenue targets
- Manage and develop high-performing analytical teams, fostering a culture of "narrative analysis" to translate complex data into actionable market perspectives
- Oversee risk management related to data quality, data sharing, and compliance while ensuring robust performance management across all analytical functions
- Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders—including finance, legal, and product teams—to drive revenue-generating optimization opportunities
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in data analytics, revenue strategy, or digital transformation, with at least 10 years in a leadership role within a global technology organization (preferably hyperscalers)
- Demonstrable experience leading analytics teams, managing performance, and overseeing global business planning (eg: headcount, OpEx, and reporting)
- Proven experience working directly with data warehouses, data science lifecycles, and data visualization suites (eg: Tableau, Looker Studio, PowerBI, etc.) to drive multi-million dollar revenue opportunities
- Demonstrable experience establishing and overseeing data governance, compliance, and privacy frameworks
- Bachelor's degree (e.g., Economics, Business, Statistics, or Engineering); MBA preferred
- Expertise in AI literacy, prompt engineering, and advanced data manipulation (SQL, expert-level Sheets/Excel)
- Proven track record of thought leadership, including published market-based narrative analysis and experience presenting to senior management and external industry events
- Demonstrated success in fostering innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
- Strong collaboration skills with a history of influencing cross-functional stakeholders in finance, legal, and IT teams
