Cloud and Things is focused on transforming the public sector’s IT environment and solving complex government IT challenges. They are seeking a PeopleSoft Business Analyst – Functional Lead to support client requirements gathering, functional documentation, solution design, testing, and knowledge transfer activities, ensuring business needs are clearly defined and aligned with operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document functional requirements based on business and operational needs
- Develop clear functional design specifications, process flows, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to validate requirements and solution approaches
- Ensure functional requirements and design specifications align with client objectives, operational workflows, and system capabilities
- Create, maintain, and execute test scenarios, test scripts, and test cases to validate system functionality
- Review and analyze test results, document defects, and support resolution through retesting and validation
- Facilitate requirements review sessions, design discussions, and stakeholder walkthroughs
- Lead knowledge transfer sessions for business users, analysts, and project team members
- Support functional analysis across PeopleSoft modules, including assessment of impacts to business processes and system configuration
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to ensure deliverables are completed accurately, consistently, and on schedule
Requirements:
- 7+ years of business analysis experience using PeopleSoft including in each of all the following knowledge areas (as defined by the International Institute of Business Analysis' “A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge ® {BABOK® Guide}”): Business analysis planning and monitoring, Elicitation and collaboration, Requirements life cycle management, Strategy analysis, Requirements analysis and design definition, Solution evaluation
- 7+ years of experience in reading and creating SQLs
- 7+ years of experience utilizing an understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and table structures
- 4+ years of experience directing functional resources in a PeopleSoft environment
- 2+ years of experience providing knowledge transfer on new technologies and/or the developed application to other business analysts
- 2+ years of experience performing business analysis in the PeopleSoft modules specified in the CRD {IH, CRM,HCM, FIN}
- 4+ years of experience serving as a functional lead on projects using PeopleSoft
- Business Analysis experience working in a government setting using PeopleSoft
- Experience developing functional solutions in areas where the business problem is complex, impacts multiple stakeholders, has significant customer resistance, or has significant constraints
- Experience providing knowledge transfer on new technologies and/or the developed application to other business analysts
- Experience supporting a pension benefit administration solution in a government setting
