Salary: $30.00 USD Hourly - $36.00 USD Hourly
Description: Engineering TechnicianLocation: Morrisville, NCDuration: 12 months with possible extension Essential Responsibilities- Set up and operate dynamometers for electric motor and/or inverter testing.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic assemblies to identify root causes of defects, following provided instructions.
- Perform product rework in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Build test harnesses, electrical loads, and related hardware to support product testing requirements.
- Accurately document work performed and maintain required records and reports.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with engineers, technicians, and other team members.
- Design, fabricate, and modify engineering test fixtures as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Required Education- Associate's degree in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Required Experience- Minimum of one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or a strong mechanical environment.
- Three or more years of related experience is preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities- Proficient with personal computers, including spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and electronic components.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic tools and techniques (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with the ability to identify root causes.
- Ability to read and interpret intermediate engineering documentation such as schematics and diagrams.
- Capability to maintain accurate product and test documentation.
- Ability to comprehend and apply component and process datasheets.
- Skilled in assembling and disassembling mechanical and electronic products.
- Ability to maintain laboratory and test equipment.
- Capable of performing mechanical tasks as required.
- Ability to train and mentor Electronics Technician I personnel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills- Soldering proficiency.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and electronic assemblies.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- 3D Printing, Electronics, Electrical Trades, High-Voltage Safety, Electric Motor Repair, Automotive (on-road/off-road) Repair, Communication or Networking Hardware, Computer Repair, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, HVAC, or Farming Equipment.
