What You Will Do Automation Platform Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain automation workflows, integrations, and recipes using Workato and related technologies.
- Build and support integrations across enterprise systems including Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud HCM, HR, finance, payroll, and downstream platforms.
- Support the migration of existing integrations and automation jobs from Informatica to Workato, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design and implement data integration and messaging patterns (API‑based, event‑driven, batch, and near‑real‑time).
- Develop reusable connectors, templates, and integration patterns to accelerate development and promote consistency across teams.
- Contribute to platform improvements including CI/CD enablement, version control, environment management, and operational tooling.
Security, Governance & Quality
- Implement and adhere to established security, access control, and governance standards within the automation platform.
- Partner with platform, architecture, and security teams to ensure automations meet enterprise data protection, compliance, and API governance requirements.
- Contribute to monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices to ensure automations are reliable, supportable, and production‑ready.
Developer Enablement & Collaboration
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to identify automation opportunities and design effective integration solutions.
- Conduct brown‑bag sessions, technical deep dives, and hands‑on training workshops to enable teams adopting Workato and enterprise integration patterns.
- Develop and maintain documentation, samples, and best practices to support onboarding and self‑service development.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to federated development teams building on the platform.
Platform Awareness & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively stay current with Workato releases, new features, and roadmap updates, as well as changes across integrated SaaS platforms.
- Evaluate new capabilities and assess impact to platform standards, security, and delivery practices.
- Share findings, recommendations, and best practices through internal demos, documentation, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Partner with platform leadership to influence responsible adoption of new features aligned with enterprise guardrails.
AI & Intelligent Automation
- Contribute to AI‑assisted automation and intelligent workflow orchestration, including coordination of AI agents within enterprise workflows.
- Integrate automation workflows with AI services, LLMs, and decisioning logic under defined platform standards and governance.
- Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity in automation design, data mapping, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, preferred.
Experience
- Typically 6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong hands‑on development responsibility.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Hands‑on experience with hyper‑automation or enterprise integration platforms, such as Workato, Informatica, MuleSoft, Apache Camel, or Microsoft Power Automate.
- Strong experience integrating enterprise SaaS applications, including Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud HCM.
- Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs (REST/SOAP), workflows, and data integration & messaging architectures.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, data transformation, automation tasks, and backend integration logic.
- Proven experience designing, building, testing, and supporting production‑grade integrations and automations.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, access controls, and governance in distributed systems.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑native architectures.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high‑quality solutions in fast‑paced environments.
Nice to Have
- Workato certifications (Foundations or advanced levels).
- Experience building enterprise‑grade AI agents and orchestrated workflows using platforms such as Workato One, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or n8n.
- Familiarity with AI agent orchestration patterns, prompt management, decisioning logic, and human‑in‑the‑loop automation.
- Experience supporting a platform enablement or federated development model.
- Prior involvement in large‑scale enterprise integration or platform migration initiatives.
Travel: Minimal
The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $100,800.00 to $201,600.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
