Calling all consultants! We are seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional to join our growing Accounting and Advisory Services practice for either our Overland Park, KS or Wichita, KS office. This position provides the opportunity to work exclusively across Adams Brown’s Business Valuation practices, exposure to a variety of industries, and the chance to join a small but fast-growing team with room for rapid career development.

Requirements
Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Prior experience in financial consulting/valuation is preferred
- If the candidate does not have one of the following designations: CPA, ABV, ASA, CVA, then this candidate should be open to attaining in the future
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare business valuation reports, build financial models, and perform other detailed calculations and analyses for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to:
- Estate planning, buy/sell agreements, divorce proceedings, etc.
- Strategic Planning for high-net worth clients
- Other ad-hoc projects at the request of clients
- Workpaper development used to support key conclusions and findings as well as the review, analyses, and maintenance of underlying documents
- Prepares and develops workpapers and other detailed analyses to help clients understand the findings and make informed that are organized, neat, cross-referenced and supported by conclusions
- Assisting with the preparation of Conclusion of Value, Calculation of Value and other reports at the request of clients
- Participation in both client and internal meetings while interacting with executives and key stakeholders of organizations
- Interacting with the other Firm service lines including tax, audit and other consulting practices
- Contributing to proposals and assisting with business development activities including but not limited to: CLE presentations, webinars, authorship of white papers, etc.)
Desired Skills, Abilities and Characteristics
- Excellent problem solving/critical thinking skills and a strong business acumen
- Financial statement and tax return experience preferred
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High-level attention to detail and strong communicator both written and verbally.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Prior experience with Client facing work strongly preferred
- Strong desire to learn and develop on a daily basis
- Team-oriented, selfless, and willing to work a flexible schedule to meet deadlines
- High integrity and adherence to confidentiality, compliance, and other regulatory requirements
- Takes pride in developing strong relationships with clients and co-workers
- Has a strong desire for career advancement
