
The North Liberty Hospital department of Rehabilitation Therapies is seeking a Physical Therapist with a specialization in hand therapy. This candidate will administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries and evaluate and interpret findings. This position will primarily be assigned to an orthopedic outpatient setting.
Provide quality patient care, evaluation, assessment and treatment appropriate for patient with complex or specialized needs.
Participate in the development of innovative clinical teaching activities to meet the learning needs of staff and students.
Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner and demonstrate innovative problem solving approaches.
Provide divisional and departmental leadership by:
Collaborating on special projects and assisting management as necessary.
Participating in clinical research and maintaining a high level of clinical productivity.
Providing educational experiences to staff and students
Serving as a clinical resource.
Demonstrating the ability to set and accomplish divisional/departmental goals.
Identify opportunities, monitor and participate in quality/process improvement activities and recommend corrective actions for effectiveness.
Attend and participate in personal and professional developmental programs.
Perform special projects and task as assigned.
Percent of Time: 100%
Schedule: This role requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts within clinic hours (7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday–Friday), which may vary based on staffing needs.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor’s degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required.
Reasonable (2+ years) experience as a Physical Therapist with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
Demonstrated clinical educational abilities.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a work or other professional setting.
Demonstrated ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Licenses/Certifications:
Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required
Desirable Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Physical Therapy with advanced understanding and skill in providing physical therapy primarily to adults in an outpatient setting.
Reasonable (1-3 years) experience in evaluation and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
Ability to practice in an autonomous manner
Demonstrated effectiveness in provision of patient care
Demonstrated efficiency in provision of patient care
Demonstrated effort to enhance one’s own knowledge, skills and abilities
Demonstrated program/service development or quality improvement projects
