Yellowpop is a company that creates LED neon signs and has partnered with notable brands like Netflix and Nike. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead B2B sales efforts, build target lists, and manage the sales pipeline for multi-location accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Build target lists of multi-location restaurant groups, retail chains, hotels, fitness concepts, and experiential brands
- Run cold outbound (calls, email, LinkedIn) and convert it into qualified discovery calls — most days, the phone is your best friend
- Sit in those discoveries, get to the brief, and walk buyers through what’s possible (concept, lead time, install, budget)
- Translate every opportunity into a clean creative brief our design and production teams can run with
- Manage every deal end-to-end: proposal, samples, procurement, PO, install coordination, and expansion
- Run your pipeline in HubSpot, your sequences in Apollo / Outreach / Clay, and report your forecast weekly
- Feed marketing real signal — what’s landing, what’s not, which industries are pulling — so we can pour fuel on what works
Requirements:
- 4+ years selling a physical product, branded program, or design-led service into retail or restaurant chains. Backgrounds we love: signage, store fixtures, POP/POS displays, visual merchandising, branded merch, store design, hospitality décor, F&B equipment
- A real track record of self-sourced pipeline. You do not wait for marketing to feed you
- Genuine comfort on the phone. Not 'I'll do it if I have to' — actual fluency cold-calling a Director of Store Operations or a VP of Brand
- Working fluency in marketing automation and modern outbound tooling: HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Nav. You can build a sequence, not just send from one
- The ability to write a clean creative brief — you can turn 'we want something cool for our 200 stores' into a scope a designer and a production lead can act on
- Polish in front of both brand-side buyers and procurement — you can switch registers without losing the room
- Existing relationships with restaurant groups, retail chains, hotel brands, or QSR procurement teams
- Experience selling into store-opening or remodel programs (multi-location rollouts, capex cycles)
- Time at a company like BDA, HALO Branded Solutions, 4imprint Enterprise, Identiti, Pattison Sign Group, Federal Heath, Stratus, or similar
- A genuine eye for design — you can tell good neon from bad, and you care about the difference
