Senior Business Systems Analyst – Clinical Trial Systems (Risk Management)

Spark Life Solutions Inc is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in clinical trials and study-level risk management to support the development and optimization of clinical trial systems. This role will partner closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into system capabilities, focusing on clinical trial risk processes.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document functional requirements aligned with clinical development and risk management priorities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system capabilities supporting study-level risk assessment and management processes
• Ensure alignment between business needs and system functionality across clinical trial platforms
• Partner with Business System Owners and Product Managers to prioritize requirements and support roadmap planning
• Translate business requirements into actionable system enhancements and support release planning
• Contribute to the evolution of clinical trial risk management tools and technology strategy
• Act as a primary point of contact for business users on system-related questions and issues
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve system inquiries and improve user experience
• Support process definition, training materials, and change management activities related to system updates
• Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including:
• Creating test scripts
• Coordinating with business testers
• Executing and documenting results
• Ensure system enhancements meet business requirements before release
• Manage system-related administrative tasks such as:
• User access requests and approvals
• Data maintenance and data quality activities
• Shared inbox and request management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience); advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, data analysis, or related roles
• 3+ years of experience in life sciences, with strong exposure to clinical trial operations or systems
• Hands-on experience with clinical trial platforms and/or risk management tools
• Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional, matrixed environments
• Background in biotech or pharmaceutical industry (required for this role)
• Experience with study-level risk assessment processes in clinical trials
• Familiarity with clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and related tools
