About this role
Promise is a company that modernizes how government agencies and utilities support people in financial difficulty through technology. They are seeking a Platform/Infrastructure engineer to build and automate systems that enable faster and smarter software delivery for their customers.
Responsibilities:
- Help build our GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Terraform IaC
- Own CI/CD across all services
- Build systems that help product engineers deliver faster
- Automate platform work with AI
- Respond to incidents and make sure they don't happen again
- Work with engineering teams to build better infrastructure, faster
- Work with IT and Security to build out pipelines for our products
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software or infrastructure work, with time spent in a platform, infra, or SRE role
- Kubernetes experience in production
- Solid Terraform or equivalent IaC experience
- Experience building long-lasting internal systems that other people depend on
- You've been on-call for things you've built and can talk about what you learned
- You use AI tools in your own work and have opinions about them
- Google Cloud Platform experience (our primary cloud)
- Experience managing ArgoCD
- Typescript, Golang
- Fintech, payments, or govtech background
- SOC 2, FedRAMP, or PCI work
