Mercury Insurance is a company recognized for its achievements and culture, and they are seeking a NOC Engineer II to monitor and maintain the operational integrity of the company’s enterprise infrastructure. The role involves managing NOC tools, ensuring system security, and participating in disaster recovery efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain all software products and production environment on available tools; provide documentation for process changes and format updates; Administration of all NOC owned tools/applications including scripting, customizations, report building, alert modifications, automations and maintenance; Minimize risk and exposure to system security and business interruptions on company's infrastructure; actively participate in disaster recovery and BCP events
- Monitor/maintain operational, performance and integrity of enterprise Infrastructure
- Administration of all NOC owned tools/applications including scripting, customizations, report building, alert modifications, automations and maintenance
- Process documentation (KB)
- User/system impacted incident management and resolutions, including working with multiple IT groups, Incident Managers, open business communications and reporting to IT Senior Leadership
- Minimize risk and exposure to system security and business interruption on company's infrastructure
- Mentoring/Training

Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education or work experience
- 2-5 years of Network Operations Center (NOC) experience, applications, and related technologies
- Monitor and maintain all software products and production environment on available tools
- Provide documentation for process changes and format updates
- Administration of all NOC owned tools/applications including scripting, customizations, report building, alert modifications, automations and maintenance
- Minimize risk and exposure to system security and business interruptions on company's infrastructure
- Actively participate in disaster recovery and BCP events
- Good communication skills (including public speaking, critical business writing skills, process documentation and knowledge base article composure)
- Regular attendance on a full-time schedule of at least 8 hours and 40 hours per week
