FWI (FedWriters, Inc.) is building a team to support NOAA’s Office of Sustainable Fisheries. The Project Manager will lead the contractor team in delivering fisheries management actions and ensuring high-quality regulatory support across various tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor contractor staff supporting Regional Office and Atl HMS fisheries management actions
- Develop and execute project plans with schedules to fulfill Seafood EO requirements
- Track Magnuson-Stevens Act statutory deadlines; prevent legal lapses due to missed dates
- Coordinate with OSF, NMFS leadership, and Regional Office staff on policies and procedures
- Identify bottlenecks and propose workflow adjustments; manage resource allocation across concurrent projects
- Oversee Federal Register document accuracy, NEPA quality assurance, and recordkeeping compliance
Requirements:
- 7+ years of project management experience in a federal contracting environment
- Progress toward or completion of PMP or FAC-P/PM certification
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, competing demands, and high-performing teams
- Experience working across regional/organizational boundaries in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with multiple staff levels
