Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Naval IT Project Manager who will leverage their IT expertise to work with the Fleet and deliver a world-class IT experience. The role involves creating project plans, engaging with clients to define IT requirements, and leading client engagement sessions utilizing Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients and external stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional team support, coordination, planning, collaboration, and execution tasks are aligned with program and project goals
- Empower our clients through effective communication, ensuring the program achieves its goals and meets our quality standards
- Engage with clients to collect, understand, and define their IT requirements, analyze and translate those requirements into project plans and milestones, and create realistic schedules to manage and report progress
- Leverage Agile methodologies to lead client engagement sessions in support of development planning and execution
- Write and deliver executive leadership-level communications and briefings
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience supporting, planning, scheduling, coordinating, or delivering IT projects
- 7+ years of experience with Department of Defense (DoD) program or project management
- 2+ years of experience supporting the Department of the Navy
- Experience operating within Agile frameworks, developing senior-level briefings and written products, including whitepapers, executive summaries, and analysis, and engaging with senior military or government officials, including briefing and coordinating at the O-6/GS-15 level or higher
- Experience with project management, delivering medium to large-scale IT projects or programs, and stakeholder management and coordination, including implementing actions to support mission objectives and organizational goals
- Knowledge of fleet operations, command structures, and Echelon II commands
- Knowledge of IT concepts and best practices to develop client solutions, Agile principles and tools such as Kanban boards, and project tracking applications such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
- Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences

- Experience supporting Naval Commands
- Experience with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service lifecycle or IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
