Kraken is a mission-focused company rooted in crypto values, seeking to accelerate the global adoption of crypto for financial freedom and inclusion. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will manage and enhance financial systems, ensuring operational efficiency and supporting the Finance and Accounting teams in their processes.
Responsibilities:
- Own the day-to-day administration, configuration, and stability of NetSuite and connected financial systems (Blackline, Kyriba, Brex, Lukka), serving as the primary technology partner for Kraken's Finance & Accounting teams
- Manage a high volume of NetSuite support tickets with a rapid response mindset, ensuring month-end close and other critical accounting workflows run without disruption
- Lead end-to-end delivery of NetSuite enhancements and projects — from requirements gathering with Finance stakeholders through to build, testing, and rollout
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between NetSuite and third-party systems, collaborating with Enterprise Integration, Data Warehouse, and Engineering teams on cross-functional data initiatives
- Champion AI-driven process automation across the accounting function - identifying opportunities to replace manual, multi-day workflows with intelligent, system-driven solutions, and actively piloting AI tooling within the NetSuite ecosystem and connected platforms
- Lead IPO readiness initiatives with a focus on reducing close time and building scalable, audit-sound processes that can support continued growth
- Partner with Finance leadership to understand current-state business processes, surface gaps, and recommend scalable solutions that support a growing, multi-entity global operation
- Collaborate with SI partners on outsourced projects, providing co-design and co-development oversight to ensure quality outcomes
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the broader evolution of Kraken's financial systems architecture
Requirements:
- 6+ years of hands-on NetSuite techno-functional experience, including NetSuite OneWorld administration, configuration, and third-party integrations
- Proven ability to write and manage NetSuite scripts and workflows using SuiteScript 2.0 and SuiteFlow
- Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes - AR, AP, GL, P2P, Treasury, RevRec, Book Close and the systems that support them
- Experience delivering end-to-end ERP implementations or major enhancements in a consultant or IC capacity (4–6 mid-scale or 2–3 enterprise implementations)
- Strong BSA fundamentals: able to lead requirements sessions, produce clear documentation, and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical Finance stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume support queue while simultaneously progressing project work - organized, responsive, and calm under pressure
- Experience working with compliance, risk, and audit teams on SOX or SOC-type engagements
- An AI-native mindset - you actively look for opportunities to apply AI tools to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate financial close cycles, and you have examples of having done so
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to build credibility quickly in a fully remote, fast-moving environment
- NetSuite ERP certification (SuiteFoundation, Administrator, or equivalent)
- Experience in fintech, crypto, or a high-growth scaling environment
