We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist to perform high-complexity laboratory testing within our Enteric and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) lab. You will be responsible for the isolation, identification, and molecular analysis of enteric bacteria (such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria) to support public health initiatives.

Core Responsibilities
- Molecular Analysis: Perform Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), PCR, MALDI-TOF, and nucleic acid extraction.
- Pathogen Identification: Conduct cultures, biochemical tests, and serotyping for clinical specimens.
- Compliance & Quality: Maintain strict adherence to CLIA regulations, including documentation of QC/QA activities and proficiency testing.
- Data Management: Evaluate, interpret, and validate laboratory results; assist in preparing epidemiological reports.
- Lab Operations: Maintain equipment, manage inventory, and ensure a safe laboratory environment.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology or related field preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of laboratory experience is highly desired.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in a Molecular Biology lab (WGS and PCR) is a significant plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Must meet CLIA requirements for high-complexity testing personnel.
- Communication: Ability to relay technical data clearly and maintain professional working relationships.
Working Conditions
- Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
- Ability to work with potentially biohazardous materials in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
- Standard shift: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM.
