Russell Tobin is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end technology implementation projects. This role involves managing project delivery across the full implementation lifecycle and ensuring successful stakeholder alignment and adoption of systems.
Responsibilities:
- Structured project delivery across the full implementation lifecycle—discovery, design, build, test, and deploy
- Governance and status reporting that keeps sponsors informed and decisions on track
- Stakeholder alignment across business owners, technical teams, and vendors
- Clean handoffs to operations, with documentation and training in place before go-live
- Define project scope, objectives, schedule, and resource plan in alignment with business and technical sponsors
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan covering all implementation phases: discovery, design, build, test, deploy, and stabilization
- Track milestones, manage dependencies, and adjust plans proactively when scope or conditions change
- Own project initiation through formal closure, including sign-off, documentation handoff, and lessons learned
- Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops with business stakeholders and translate outputs into actionable project scope
- Partner with solution architects, developers, and business analysts to validate that the build aligns with approved requirements
- Manage scope change through a formal change control process—documenting requests, impacts, and decisions
- Coordinate system integration, data migration, and configuration activities across technical workstreams
- Develop and execute test planning strategy across unit, integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression cycles
- Track defects and issues through resolution; escalate blocking items with recommended paths forward
- Obtain formal business sign-off on UAT before go-live authorization
- Ensure testing outcomes are documented and traceability maintained from requirements to test results
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders across business, IT, and third-party vendors
- Run recurring project status meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive briefings
- Manage vendor and system integrator relationships—tracking SOW deliverables, timelines, and quality
- Escalate risks and issues with clear options and recommendations, not just problem statements
- Develop and execute a go-live readiness checklist with clear criteria for launch authorization
- Coordinate cutover planning, including data migration validation, system cutover sequencing, and rollback procedures
- Ensure end-user training is delivered and adoption support is in place before system launch
- Lead post-launch stabilization period, tracking incidents, resolving issues, and managing hypercare support
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of project management experience delivering enterprise technology implementations
- Demonstrated ability to manage full system implementation lifecycles—requirements through go-live
- Experience leading UAT coordination, defect management, and go-live authorization processes
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow PPM, Smartsheet, or equivalent)
- Strong stakeholder communication skills—status reporting, executive briefings, and escalation management
- PMP certification or actively pursuing (PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent also accepted)
- Experience implementing SaaS platforms or enterprise software (ERP, ITSM, CRM, HCM, or similar)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow as a delivery platform—ITSM, HRSD, CSM, or other modules
- Vendor and system integrator management experience in a multi-party delivery model
- Working knowledge of Agile or hybrid delivery methods (Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent)
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management experience
- Change management exposure—structured approach to user readiness and adoption
