Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

McKesson is an impact-driven, Fortune 10 company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to lead financial reporting and automation for CMM Finance, partnering across Finance, IT, and Data Engineering to drive reporting modernization and streamline processes.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage Power BI to create and maintain reports for finance (monthly, quarterly reporting to executive leadership level)
• Manage SAP Analytics Cloud support tasks – running reconciliations, troubleshooting data variances, coordinating with finance team leads on forecast submissions
• Lead bi‑weekly finance meetings with finance leads and IT on forecast requirements, cost center/profit center changes, hierarchy changes, and system changes
• Build ad hoc reports based on finances needs within SAC, and Power BI
• Document step by step processes within NetSuite, SAC and SOX based tasks
• Develop and certify semantic layers and governed Power BI data sources
• Maintain high‑quality data dictionaries and documentation
• Mentor analysts through code reviews, training, and office hours
• Upskill teams in SQL/Snowflake, Power BI, semantic modeling, automation and improvements to Excel reporting processes through VBA
• Accelerate onboarding through reusable components and documentation
• Influence schema design, and ingestion planning
• Identify upstream issues early to prevent downstream rework
• Support infrastructure for finance report automation, alerting/monitoring, and performance optimization
• Track reporting usage and performance; recommend improvements
• Seek new automation opportunities to improve the current state process
• Build strong relationships across Finance and IT teams
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders while advocating for reporting standards and data governance
• Deliver insights and recommendations in a clear, executive‑ready format
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives and governance efforts without formal authority

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience
• 7+ years in BI, Analytics, Data Engineering, or related fields
• Expert (7+ years) Power BI, SQL competency
• Advanced (7+ years) Power BI skills (modeling, performance tuning, UX)
• Strong understanding of data modeling, semantic layers, financial reporting, and reporting architectures
• Experience creating automated solutions for finance teams
• Experience creating dashboards for finance teams
• Experience with reporting standards, governance, or QA frameworks
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and influence without authority across the enterprise
• Experience mentoring analysts and raising technical capability
• Background in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, or complex operations
• Experience with SAP analytics cloud, NetSuite, Databricks
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives, with strong stakeholder-management and insight-delivery skills
• Experience supporting executive reporting or forecasting teams
• Familiarity with Data Modernization, MDM, entitlements, and cloud analytics environments
• Experience building KPI catalogs, data dictionaries, or reporting toolkits
